a company built on the radical idea that literally none of this is original
We do the same three things everybody on the internet does. We just admitted it in the name. Weird SEO, affiliate marketing, and personal brand monetizing.
We rank pages for keywords that, strictly speaking, do not need to be ranked for. Google isn't sure how we did it. Neither are we, technically. It just works, and we're choosing not to question it. Every keyword we chase makes us money somehow — just not always the same way, and we'd rather not draw you a diagram.
We tell people about things, and sometimes they buy the things, and then a small percentage of money travels toward us. This has been the business model of the internet since roughly 1996. We are keeping the tradition alive.
We help people turn their personal brand into actual money. Less "management," more "make the bag bigger." Semantics matter, mostly to accountants.
"Nothin New Under The Sun" adds up, numerologically, to exactly 100. Which reduces down to 1. And 1 is supposedly all about leadership, independence, and Starting Big New Things.
Which is very funny, because the name is specifically about how nothing is new. And yet the number is over here yelling "go forth and found something." Make it make sense.
Meanwhile the acronym — NNUTS — comes out to a 7. Much more contemplative. More "we've seen some things, we're fine, thanks for asking" energy. So basically: the company is a 1 pretending to be a 7, or a 7 that accidentally started a company. We haven't fully resolved this internally.
Also, and we cannot stress how unplanned this was: NNUTS sounds like "nuts," as in balls. Which, honestly, tracks — it takes a certain amount of balls to get anywhere in life, so we've decided to call it a branding win instead of a coincidence.
